I've found that the paintbrush and airbrush tools also don't work, but the ink and MyPaint Brush tools do work. I've even tried restarting my computer and uninstalling GIMP and reinstalling the latest version. If I hit "undo" after I try drawing or erasing, it will undo the last thing I did before I started drawing, so it isn't even recognizing that I'm trying to draw.įurthermore, I've tried making sure the correct layer is selected, the selected layer is visible, the pixels aren't locked, the brush I'm using isn't empty, the pencil mode is on normal, the opacity of the tool is at 100%, the color I'm trying to draw isn't the same as the background color, and there isn't a small area selected.
The paint bucket tool, however, does work. My pencil tool is not drawing, and my eraser tool isn't working either. Hello, I've been using GIMP about 7 years now, and not once have I had this issue until now.

I also downloaded the drivers for the tablet in order to change what the buttons on the stylus do. I set up the tablet through the input devices and it seems to work fine. I got a VEIKK A30 drawing tablet for Christmas and instantly got GIMP to try and draw stuff.
